Maybe you’ve noticed that I haven’t posted on LinkedIn for around the entirety of April, but maybe you haven’t. I felt a little tired from focusing so much on careers after securing my own offer and posting helpful resources consistently.

I knew that I didn’t want to publish mid quality content, so I decided to take a break from LinkedIn for a while but who knew that my first post back in a month would take off the way it did! It’s definitely bringing a lot of motivation back for me to work on CareerNow more than ever before, and I hope that you find value in these weekly issues every Wednesday at 5pm PST.

This summer, you might be employed. You might not be employed. Either or, know that you’re on the right track for your own journey of life. Everyone works in different paces of life and that’s okay. It’s easy to get caught up on other people’s progress and compare it to yourself. But you are still very young and you have such a long way to go after your undergrad or even your grad years. Treasure the time that you have right now for your youth because you have the rest of your life to ‘work’ but you only have 4 years of university life. Enjoy your summer with everything that you have and things will work out the way it’s meant to be. Work hard, play hard <3

E.l.f. Beauty is acquiring Hailey Bieber’s skincare brand, Rhode, in a deal values up to $1 billion. The acquisition includes $800 million in cash and stock, with a $200 million earnout based on future performance. Rhode, launched in 2022, has seen rapid growth with $212 million in sales and only 10 products. Bieber will remain involved as chief creative officer. The deal strengthens E.l.f.’s expansion into skincare following its $355 million Naturium purchase. Despite strong earnings, E.l.f. faces tariff challenges, sourcing 75% of products from China, and will fund part of the deal with $600 million in debt. Read more HERE from CNBC.

Salesforce announced it will acquire cloud data management firm Informatica for $8 billion, offering $25 per share for its Class A and B-1 stock. The move aims to enhance Salesforce’s AI effort through integration with Informatica’s data catalog, governance, and metadata tools. The acquisition will be funded through cash and new debt. Salesforce plans to merge Informatica’s capabilities with its Agentforce AI platform and existing tools like MuleSoft and Tableau to create more autonomous, intelligent solutions for businesses.
