Over the next year, Roku predicts that 100% of the streaming audience will see ads. For growth marketers in 2026, CTV will remain an important “safe space” as AI creates widespread disruption in the search and social channels. Plus, easier access to self-serve CTV ad buying tools and targeting options will lead to a surge in locally-targeted streaming campaigns.
Read our guide to find out why growth marketers should make sure CTV is part of their 2026 media mix.

CareerNow has and will always remain a FREE RESOURCE for all students and professionals, because as a student founder — I believe in the importance of career education.
Even though it will be free for all students, it’s unfortunately NOT FREE for me (a solo founder) to keep this newsletter running for all 38,000 of you all. I’ve been paying for the bill by myself through my internships and my current 2 part-time jobs!
BUT. Here’s how you can help with one click!
For each link click on the Roku ad above as like a streaming ad (by JUST clicking the link) CareerNow will be paid $3 dollars! It is a very very small amount, but if 150 of 38,000 of you click the link, that will pay for the entire month of expenses for CareerNow.
So please click the link above with Roku to support CareerNow <3 And back to the regularly scheduled program + CareerNow update later

Are you a Female Founder? ✨
Buildn’Chill is Canada's first ever all-expenses-paid retreat for female founders. It exists to create a space where real friendships happen on purpose. Hosted by Julia Fedorin, Sarah Simionescu, Maya Lekhi, and Anjali Dhaliwal, this retreat is only accepting 15 female founders.
You'll get space to show up as your most authentic self, swap honest feedback, share resources that actually matter, and leave with the rare kind of friendships that only happen when builders really get each other.
No panels, no pitches, just s'mores over at campfire, vision boards, and quality time with the girls that get it.
The cabin is a few hours north of Toronto (we will arrange carpooling from the city) from 📅 January 8th at 6pm to January 11th at 11am. Sponsored by CIBC Innovation, Stand Up Ventures, and Hooplah.

Update about CareerNow
Thank you for making it to the bottom of the issue! And here’s just some honesty about CareerNow and overall me as the founder for what’s now been around 1.5 years according to my LinkedIn experiences.
Some good updates recently is how I got featured on Business Insider, and it’s been a goal of mine that I had listed to accomplish in 2025 so I’ve been very proud of that achievement.
However, I’ve been feeling gradually… unfulfilled.
I’m not as excited as I’ve been 7 months ago to write each issue every Wednesday at 5pm PST where I would drop everything at 3:30pm right before to ensure the issue goes out on time. If you haven’t noticed, my last issue post was a month ago.
And I don’t like how my passion has waned, because I can feel it, I can see it in my analytics, and I know it. Simultaneously it’s also the fact that I've been balancing priorities that I didn’t have before and that’s something that I’m working on organizing.
However I still love CareerNow, it’s my newsletter that I built from the ground-up without any help and no matter how tired I am— I could never give up on this project because it was where I started. Which leads me to my final point…
This is the last issue of 2025.
Because I will be taking the next 3 weeks to come back to CareerNow in 2026 with a fresh look, better written + needed information, and a renewed sense of motivation.
CareerNow WILL BE coming back better than ever before next year in 2026. Thank you all SO MUCH for subscribing to this newsletter in 2025 and trusting me to be a part of your early career journey.
Send me a note!! Tell me what you want to see from CareerNow!
I would genuinely appreciate it if any one of you have advice for CareerNow, what you want to see more from the newsletter, what resources you need, or anything else in between (if you have words of encouragement- that would be lovely too!) - please send me a message on LinkedIn. If you can’t DM people, please attach a note of your advice for the newsletter in your connection request and I’ll get to it asap!!
