Consulting internship roles with F500, Mid Sized Companies, etc
There are too big of a variety in roles under the umbrella of “consulting” so I’ve included some job career sites of big consulting companies below with the keyword of “intern” already inputted into the search bar. Let me know if you’d want to see more of these careers sites or a handpicked curation of job opportunities.
What kind of format do you want me to showcase job opportunities?
⭐ Bonus tip when applying these roles:
If you’re not sure about what kind of roles you should be applying to for consulting or any other roles, consider coffee chatting other professionals in fields that you’re aspiring to go into. Learn about their daily routine, their goals, and their advice. One of my favorite questions to ask professionals are what is an advice they would give to their 20yo self.
Because you can receive so much clarity, guidance, and support from professionals who are in your aspiring field by simply asking, so send that LinkedIn cold DM to the professionals you look up to and request a small 15 minute chat. Here is a list of 40+ cold DM templates that you can use to request for coffee chats!

Intern Spotlight: Jennifer Ma

Can you give us an introduction of yourself and a look into your internship at PwC as a consulting solutions intern?
Hello! My name is Jennifer Ma and I am a first-generation fourth-year student at UC Davis studying Managerial Economics and Political Science. I wanted to pursue consulting as a career path as my majors in school closely intertwine to shape legislation that impacts businesses and organizations.
I also value the diversity and variety consulting brings as you’re able to work in many different industries and make real tangible change to organizations. Everyday in the role looked different but my role mainly focused on conducting benchmarking analyses on global employee benefits and tackling complex equity restructuring challenges, where I gained hands-on invaluable experience.

Before your consulting internship, you were also a commercial banking intern at Wells Fargo and a Congressional intern at the U.S. House of Representatives, how do you balance your interests in finance, consulting, and law?
By pursuing opportunities in each of these areas, I’ve been able to cultivate a diverse skill set that enhances my capabilities as a consultant. My time as a Commercial Banking intern allowed me to develop a foundation in financial analysis and has also enhanced my skills with Excel and problem-solving.
Working at the U.S. House of Representatives gave me the opportunity to interact with diverse community members and learn in a client-facing environment. Each experience has allowed me to integrate insights from finance and legislation to develop strategic solutions for clients.
What is one advice you’d give to students who are looking to pursue roles in finance, law, or consulting?
Don’t hesitate to explore different paths. Each experience will help you refine your interests and skills, guiding you to the right career fit. Stay curious, be proactive about continuous learning, and remember that the journey is just as important as the destination! Also, reading the CareerNow newsletter is a great way to learn more about your fields of interest and to potentially seek mentorship.

Fed Officials Divided Over Size of September Rate Cut
Federal Reserve officials were divided on the size of the interest rate cut in September, with most favoring a half-point reduction while some preferred a smaller quarter-point cut.
